The Prest event has been held each year since 2009 and aims to provide small and medium-sized enterprises somewhere they can meet and connect, somewhere they can discover and reflect on new ideas, new opportunities, new trends, new values and this year, on strategic business alliances. The conference will take place on 4 December at San Sebastian’s Kursaal Congress Centre under the motto "Together for growth", and will use different experiences and local success stories to empower and guide firms to forge innovative and different paths, and set the foundations for their future professional relationships – such as the business-to business collaboration between ULMA Forklift Trucks and the French firm Aprolis, a member of the Monnoyeur Group and the second largest machinery rental company in France.

Previous Prest conferences have focused on interactivity, social networks, corporate social responsibility, online advertising and entrepreneurship, amongst others.

This year, as in previous years, more than 200 companies and several schools are expected to attend, to bring young talent into contact with experienced seniors, promote connections and exchange ideas.

Experts such as José Luis Larrea, the Honorary Chairman of the Basque Competitiveness Institute, Adegi’s Chairman Pello Guibelalde and the Managing Director of Euskaltel, Fernando Ojeda, will be addressing the central topic from an institutional perspective, and the business consultant and communicator Antonio Cancelo will also take part to debate strategic business-to-business alliances in the Basque Country.

Other participants will be Arantxa Tapia, the Basque Government Minister for Development and Competitiveness, and Alberto García Erauzkin, the Chairman of Euskaltel.
